This is really really minor, but most single headshot profile pics look better in a circle in my humble opinion. Is there a reason a square is used on RootsFinder?
That’s an interesting point. I hadn’t really thought about it before. Like you say, not high priority, but I’ll make the change to a circle.

It might be nicer to let the user choose circle or square. Sometimes one works where the other might not if it is a small and close up picture of the person to start with, and a circle can cut part of them out of it.
I did a bit of research - this forum software, facebook, twitter, and instagram all use circles for profile pictures. Ancestry uses rectangles. I think I’d like to try circles. If that ends up causing problems, we can allow people to choose.
