Excel-style filtering on data grids

Columns can currently be sorted Asc / Desc, and there is an overall Search box available, but it would be really handy to have the ability to filter the columns for only selected values (the use case I’m thinking of is for filtering for people with a certain surname, with a Source rating that is low. I could then target my piles of physical sources to focus on getting that data online).

I’m specifically looking at the People page in my Tree, but this may apply across the site where other data grids are displayed.

Just to clarify. Are you thinking that you could enter the surname in the overall search box to filter by surname, and then use a drop-down select on source rating column to filter only those with 0 or 1 stars?
